30-Year Class Reunion
The Chokio-Alberta Class of 1978 gathered this past weekend for their 30-Year Class Reunion. Twenty-nine classmates enjoyed activities at the Moonshine Saloon, Moonshine Steak House, Pomme de Terre Golf Course, and the Alberta Street Dance.
According to a Chokio Review article published on May 25, 1978, the Class of 1978 was the third largest class to graduate from Chokio-Alberta High School (tied with 1968, the first class to graduate from C-A) The Class of 1974 was the largest class (70), and the Class of 1969 was the second largest (60). Although the Class of 1978 officially graduated 59 seniors, there was some discussion (and dispute) at the reunion regarding its ranking as tied for third largest class. It seems that if the Class of 1978 had not graduated two foreign exchange students, their ranking would have allegedly drop behind the Class of 1979!
